Broadway Template Set Tips

Let the angle set the flow

Start with one Broadway Border and let its rise or fall establish the direction of your layout. Build photos along that angle, then let embellishments follow the same flow to carry the eye across the page.

Flip and pair to create new shapes

Use the coordinating A/B pieces together for a continuous design, or rotate and flip them to explore different directions. Bring them together for a V, stretch them across a two-page layout, or separate them to frame different areas of your page.

Play with the triangle details

For an extra decorative touch, cut out a few of the triangle openings and layer contrasting paper behind them. You can even use the cut triangles as small accents elsewhere on your page.

Create more widths from one angled strip

Use the reference marks on the larger angled strip to create 1/2", 1", 2", or 3" widths. Trace one edge, slide the Designer Template to the width you want, and trace again for an easy layered strip.

Give the angle room to play

Broadway’s deeper angles can use more paper than a traditional straight Border, and the angled straight edges are best traced and cut with scissors rather than a 12" paper trimmer. Give the design the paper it needs—the payoff is movement, unexpected photo placement, and page compositions you simply can’t get from a straight-across Border.
