Scrapbook Sketch Challenge

Today’s Sketch Challenge
Here at Kiwi Lane we believe in Inspiring and Being Inspired. This is one of the reasons that we love layout and card sketches. They are such a great form of Inspiration for scrapbookers and card makers! We also believe that a good challenge can Inspire us to new heights, which is why we often present our sketches along with a friendly challenge!
Below is a new Layout Sketch to Inspire you this week. To play along with this challenge, recreate your own layout using this week’s sketch. Don’t have the exact Designer Templates shown? No worries! Simply use the sketch as a springboard for your creativity, and utilize the Designer Templates you already have! We have also provided a FREE PRINTABLE sentiment that you can incorporate into your design if you choose to. We recommend printing it out on cardstock to make it more durable.
Sample by Christina Steel:
I REALLY love all the dimension in this sketch!!! That’s my favorite thing about layering 12 inch borders with card borders. Dimension without bulk! I was also able to use 2 solid and 6 patterned papers on this layout without looking tacky or busy; just colorful and FUN!
Templates Used:
Paisley Place 1A, 1B, 3A, 3B
Sentiments 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B
Rings 1, 2, 3
Accents 2
Tiny Accents 2T
Paper:
Fancy Pants “Happy Place”
Close To My Heart “Zoe”

Here’s my submission. The coloring is off but I took the pic with best lighting I could get at this time of night ? I don’t have Paisley Place so I used Chestnut Drive instead. I’ve embellished it with Tiny Accents and Tiny Celebrate. The paper I used is from Doodlebug. Another fun one KLD!

This is my youngest daughter playing with (MAKING A HUGE MESS) out of Lucky Charms and milk, a bowl and a cup. Thank you for such a fun sketch. Papers I used are from SEI and are probably 15 years old!!! Templates used: Borders – Paisley Place (1A/1B, 3A/3B). Card Borders – Sentiments (1A/1B, 2A/2B). Photos – 4×6, 4×5, 3×4. Photo Mats – 4.5×4.5, 3.5×4.5. Accessories – Adventure (1, 2). Tiny Accents (3T). I do not have strips nor rings so I made my own using a paper trimmer and circular things in my craft stash.
Precious layout for adorable photos.
Thanks so much! It is only good as you gave us a layout with great bones!!!
We just made it easier to create. Looks awesome
Glad to see more people joining in the fun. Thanks to Juna Antonas and Rebekah Ellis for bringing Kiwi Lane to Tulsa, Oklahoma. We made some super cute cards in their class last Friday. I hope some their shoppers at the convention last weekend try out the sketch challenges soon. My layout comes from McAlester, Oklahoma. My paper is a retired paper packet from Close to my Heart.? I used all of the templates listed above except one. The one I found after I had stuck everything down. Paisley Place 3A was left out by accident. I blame the cat. I had to move my stuff around because he was playing with it.
Lisa, this is BEAUTIFUL! Stunning, just stunning.
Thanks, Jen. All of these ladies are Rockin’ this sketch. I love seeing so many participants. It’s fun having a big group. Lot’s of great ideas!
Thank you for the chance to win
This turned out great. Thank you for sharing!
These are my twin grandson’s at a play area with a bounce land. I used a variety of paper scraps, left over cricut cuts, embellishments and stickers. A bizarre color palette to be sure.
What a fun layout~ Such cute boys too.
Thanks for a wonderful sketch! It felt so good to bust out my templates again!
