Think Outside the Box
As you’re layering and turning and playing with Whimsy, pay attention to the different possibilities that present themselves. The same template that was a cloud just a moment ago is now a bush. Your sunshine is now a gear. Your flower is now a set of light rays, a series of hearts, a bow on top of a gift, or a frog on a lily pad. You could even trace the same template out twice and flip one piece over to create a whole shape like a sun or a flower. How you Play-To-Create is up to you!
Tuck Whimsy Behind a Border
An easy way to play with Whimsy is to tuck it behind a border. All three pieces have an edge that makes it easy to layer behind a border or to line it up against the edge of a page. Borders help create a sense of movement over your layouts.
If you haven't had a chance to play with Whimsy, get your own set now. We're sure you've been inspired and are itching to create with Whimsy yourself. It's time to Play-to-Create!
Use Whimsy as a Base
Whimsy is also big enough that they could be used as focal points or they could be used as foundational bases where you can layer photos and other elements on top and still see the shape of the template. They are fun places to create clusters of Designer Templates to add details to your layouts.
