Pocket Scrapbooking with Leslie Prinkki

My Love of Pocket Scrapbooking

I’m so excited to be on the blog today sharing my love of pocket scrapbooking. I was first introduced to pocket scrapbooking in 2009. I can still remember how excited I was to try this new way of documenting my family photos and stories. I have always scrapbooked 12×12 double page layouts and 12×12 single page layouts, so this style of scrapbooking intrigued me and I was all for trying something new. Fast forward to, today and I can’t imagine NOT having pocket page scrapbook layouts in my albums.

I take a ton of photos, as most of us scrapbookers do, so when it comes time to sit down and scrapbook, it can get overwhelming. Pocket page scrapbooking is my go to when I have a ton of photos from events like our family vacations. I still pick out my favorite photos which usually end up on a 12×12 double page layout then the rest I add to pocket pages and mix them into my albums. I love that my albums have a variety of layouts from traditional to pocket pages which makes looking through my albums so fun!

Here’s a sample of a few layouts from my son’s baby book. As you can see I mixed traditional scrapbook layouts with coordinating pocket pages. I love it!  I also was able to get a ton of pictures in his album documenting different events by just mixing in the pocket pages.

I had the honor of working with both the new Pocket Page Kits this month and I am obsessed! Not only do you get more than just the pocket page filler cards like so many other kits out there have, but you also get a mix of fun sizes of papers and designer prints to create with. Along with the new pocket kits I also used the new pocket page Kiwi templates. Oh my gosh, they are so adorable!!! Is it just me? Or is anything that is petite in size so adorable?! I had so much fun working with both the Pocket kits and all the new pocket templates and I have a ton of supplies left over from both the kits. Plenty left for more pocket pages or traditional layouts.

Time To Shine Pocket Kit

The Time to Shine Pocket kit has become my favorite! I’m so enjoying this kit! I had a lot of fun creating and documenting my daughters Homecoming photos. This kit has subtle colors of mint and coral with teal and oh my!!!! I knew as soon as I saw this kit I had to us the homecoming pictures I’ve been saving for just the right papers. I just love everything about this kit! This double page pocket layout came together so fast and the new Charmed accessories templates were perfect for those extra special elements throughout each pocket.

Best Day Ever Pocket Kit

The Best Day Ever Pocket Kit is so whimsical and filled with a mix of bright colors and universal sayings that you can use this kit for a number of themes. As you can see I used it to document a Bronco’s game we took our son to. I just love how it turned out and how the new pocket templates let you be creative but on a smaller scale for each of the pockets.
