Touch Of Magic
Often times we draw Inspiration for our cards and layouts. For this layout in particular, I was inspired by several things. First, I just loved the owl that Gail created on her card found HERE. It reminded me that I wanted to create a layout with my pictures of our family trip to Universal Studios. Second, the pictures themselves were a major source of inspiration.
Following this Inspiration, I made a little time to play one evening. I had been dying to finally play with our Touch of Magic Layout Kit. This paper line is so cute, and I have about five other memories that I want to preserve using this same paper line, including a really cute batch of Halloween pictures that this paper line will be perfect for! But that is for another post!
I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to set the mood while I scrapbooked to help keep the inspiration flowing! So I pulled out a small fold-up table that we keep in the garage and scrapbooked in the living room while I watched Harry Potter with the kids.
The paper from the kit really helped make this layout come together. For the owl, I used the “card base” pattern that comes on the title sheet. This meant that I wasn’t able to make a card from my scraps this time, but the patterns were exactly what I needed for the owl.
The rest of this layout is fairly simple, but at the same time it feels pretty detailed, and that is what I love about it. Because of all the Inspiration, and the variety of fun colors, patterns, and details in the Touch Of Magic Layout kit, this layout came together in a way that was enjoyable, easy, and beautiful in the end!
