You Take What You Get And You Throw A Party

Love quality paper that’s coordinated? Do you wish you could create more every month? Sometimes it can be a pain to go to the craft store and spend hours selecting paper that is coordinated as well as embellishments.  Sometimes creating can just feel like something you have to put up with; like that age-old saying ‘you take what you get and you don’t throw a fit.’ But for Kiwi Club subscribers, you take what you get and you throw a party! Every month, subscribers receive a surprise at their front door; a box full of coordinated paper and Designer Templates that prompt them to create, just like Tonya King. Tonya was able to create three stunning layouts and a card using the March 2021 Kiwi Club Kit! And it didn’t take much!

Two Page Layouts

For this layout, Tonya was able to use the Hexagon Designer Templates from the March 2020 Kit as well as some flowers from the February 2021 Kiwi Club Kit! If you have been a Kiwi Club subscriber for some time, consider pulling out old templates and using them as Tonya did!

There are so many ways to use border designer templates when scrapbooking! You can put them back to back, separated, in the center of your page, or at the top! Tonya decided to layer the Scallops Fun Border on top of the Mckay Blvd Border set to rim the top of her page, which added fun dimensions and curves.

Last but not least, pull out those sentiment cards! This kit comes with fun sayings that you can add to your layout! Tonya used the Tiny Nature Accessory Template to cut out a sentiment from the Kiwi Club Kit to go on her page.

One Page Layouts

Don’t throw away your scraps! Tonya was able to use scraps from her last layout to create a fun quilt effect at the bottom of her page! This also mimicked the brick pattern of her paper and added a unique border! For the center of her page, Tonya used the March 2020 Kiwi Club templates again, leaving room for a picture and surrounded it with templates from the March 2021 Kiwi Club as well as some spring-centered Designer Templates like Tiny Nature, Tiny Springtime, and some flower templates provided in the Snap Frame Design Kits.

One-page layouts are so much fun! They allow for photos to shine and you can play around with new picture framing ideas! For this one page layout, Tonya decided to create a mat for her page using the Scallops Fun Border, but if you’ve been a Kiwi Club subscriber for a while now, you could consider using the Bouquet A la Carte from the September 2019 Kiwi Club like Shiloh did in this layout, the portrait A la Carte from January 2019 Kiwi Club, or even the Keepsake A la Carte from September 2018 Kiwi Club Kit. This Designer Templates are great for one page layouts!

Using the last bits of her paper, Tonya was able to create this card! Instead of folding the base of the card in a way that allows it to open from the side, she wanted it to open from the top! This way, she created a pouch on the inside of the car where she could slide in a gift card! For the front of the card, she used flowers from the Simple Design Kit and February 2021 Kiwi Club Kit as well as the Watering Pot A la Carte from the March 2021 Kiwi Club Kit.
