Kiwi Lane Classes at Creative Design Retreat
Susan Budge, co-founder of Kiwi Lane, is excited to be back teaching at Creative Retreat and creating with you in person.
This year, each class is designed to give you a full, supported Play-to-Create® experience in class, with more creativity waiting for you at home.
Together, we’ll create one complete two-page layout during class. You’ll walk through the Play-to-Create® process step by step, learn simple design principles you can use again, and leave with a finished layout ready for your photos—or ready to personalize if you bring pictures with you.

Pre-registration is now closed so we can prepare class kits, and make sure everything is ready for the event. If you’ll be attending Creative Retreat and would still like to join a Kiwi Lane class or purchase a take-home kit, please stop by and check with us at the event. We’d love to Play-to-Create with you!
Start to Finish, Made Simple
Each class is designed to give you a simple, supported way to sit down, start, and finish. We’ll walk through the Play-to-Create® process while also highlighting basic design principles you can use again and again on future layouts.

Creative Design Retreat
Collect Moments Class
Create one complete two-page layout together in class using the Collect Moments Kiwi Club kit and the Open Air Designer Templates. You’ll build a layered, outdoors-inspired page design with mountains, trees, mason jar scenes, and warm natural details while we walk step by step through the Play-to-Create® process.
You’ll also take home the full Collect Moments paper kit and Open Air Designer Templates set, with enough paper to create two additional two-page layouts at home.

What's Included in Every Class
Each class includes:
- Supplies to create one complete two-page layout together in class
- *The full class paper kit, with enough paper to create two additional two-page layouts at home
- *A coordinating Designer Templates set to take home
Step-by-step class instructions - Layout design guidance you can use again on future projects
- Continued creative inspiration through the included kit and digital idea book

- Pre-registration: Required

- Format: Guided, hands-on scrapbooking class
Your order will NOT be shipped to you. When you pre-registered, your kit will be waiting for you at class, or if you order a take-home kit, at your table.
What To Bring
Please bring your basic class tools:
- Nice Scissors
- Ink (vintage photo)
- Dauber
- Pencil
- Paper trimmer
- Black and white fine-point pen for doodling and journaling
- Adhesive (pop dots, liquid adhesive and tape runner)
You’re welcome to bring photos if you’d like to start personalizing your layouts in class, but it’s not required.
Creative Design Retreat
One In A Melon Class
Create one complete two-page layout together in class using the One in a Melon Kiwi Club kit and the Sweet Summertime Designer Templates. Featuring bold, playful watermelon elements and bright summer-inspired designs, this class is all about building confidence through hands-on design, playful layering, and simple choices you can repeat again.
You’ll also take home the full One in a Melon paper kit and Sweet Summertime Designer Templates set, with enough paper to create two additional two-page layouts at home.
