How to Make a St. Patricks Day Card

So Lucky to Call You My Friend…

Keeping it simple is what I like to do when it comes to creating! Kiwi Templates are the perfect tool to help me create any project big or small, fancy or simple. I worked with Springtime. An adorable template set, a must have for all your springtime themed projects!

So lucky to call you my friend (st. Patricks Day Card)

I created a simple but elegant card. Gold accents and embellishments have been all the rage lately, so I decided to play around with some gold thread and this is what I came up with.

Sewing with your DT Sets

I created a 6×6, top open style card. I sewed directly onto my card base creating a stem using a straight stitch and a zigzag stitch. After cutting out Springtime 6, I followed the template shape using the zigzag pattern on my sewing machine. This gave the template a more defined edge just like inking. Then I sewed a random circle pattern in the middle of Springtime 6 to create the center of the flower.

I finished my card off by sewing around the border of the entire card with a straight stitch and adding my sentiment to Springtime 1. Don’t you LOVE how simple and elegant this card is and I only used 2 templates!

Hope I have inspired you to try some fun sewing with your Kiwi templates!

Happy Scrapping!
